Upcoming group sessions

Creating Security
In this session, the group will explore how safety creates a path to change by increasing our ability to explore our children’s struggles when we experience vulnerability. The hope for this session is to see miscues and big behaviors as self-protection instead of mean or hostile intentions. We will also explore the freedom to choose new ways of seeing the “where” and “how” of our children’s struggles.

“Being With” Part 1
In this session, we focus on moving away from technique and into a state of mind and an attitude of empathy for the children in our care. This is essential to helping children develop healthy, lifelong emotional capacities to allow others to be with them and learn to be with others. We want to prioritize creating relationships where our children feel comfortable sharing their feelings and trusting us to help them manage these feelings.

Exploring Needs
In this session, the group will focus on the concept of becoming Bigger, Stronger, Wiser, and Kind in ways that allow us to hold the needs of our children without falling into old patterns of interacting. The goal of this session is to identify how our children watch us, their caregivers, for cues that make it safe for them to explore and come back to us for comfort and reassurance.
